Google AI Will Summarize Emails and Respond for You

Google has announced new capabilities of its artificial intelligence, Gemini, which will include the ability to summarize long email threads and generate automatic responses in Gmail. This feature analyzes messages and provides a summarized view, in addition to suggesting detailed responses based on context.

 

Key Features of Gemini:

  • Summarize Emails: The AI analyzes threads and displays a summary in Gmail. This feature will be available to Workspace Labs users this week and next month for all Gemini for Workspace customers and Google One's AI Premium plan.
  • Contextual Smart Reply: Gemini suggests responses based on the context of the message thread, which users can edit or send as is. This feature will be available in July for Workspace Labs users on mobile and web versions.

 

Other New Functions of Gemini:

  • Translate for Me: This feature in Google Meet automatically detects the language and provides translated subtitles in real-time in over 60 languages, facilitating global communication.
  • Language Expansion: "Help Me Write" in Gmail and Docs will be available in Spanish and Portuguese on desktop versions in the coming weeks.

These innovations aim to improve the efficiency and experience of users in managing their emails and other tasks in Google Workspace.
